(My Fave Nail Polish Colors...)

Nail polish (nail varnish) is a lacquer applied to toenails or fingernails for appearance, but also as nail protection...and whoever invented the nail polish is someone really worth giving thanks to...

According to Wikipedia, the use of nail polish dates back to even the 600 B.C. and have been use by the early Chinese, early Egyptians, and even the Incas...

During those times, the color you wear may also indicate your status/rank in the society...for the Egyptians, red nail color signifies that you belong to the top of the social order...while lower rank citizens are only allowed to use pale colors...

Way back then, only women wear nail colors and the traditional colors are red,pink and brown...nowadays, men can now wear nail polish too and when it comes to colors, nail polish now comes in almost every color imaginable in different shades and hues...

As for someone like me who loves to paint my nails and change nail polish colors at least once a week, I am very thankful that nail polish exist...

I took these photos when we went to our farm few days ago...the first one with the sunset was taken on our way home while the other one was a picture of took of the green pasture in broad day light...the cows are gone in the other side of the field...

What I like most about our trip to our farm is the fact that its the closest I can be with nature...away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoy the peaceful and relaxing surrounding... and of course, taking a lot of pictures of it...

I guess I can say that half of me is a big city girl while the other half is a country girl...well, it suits me fine because I can be whatever I need to be whenever I am...

And when it comes to nature and its beauty, I will always appreciate it and be thankful for it...

Posh Scented Candles...

Are you fond of scented candles?...I know quite a few friends who are very fond of collecting these kind of things and I must admit, they are very nice and useful stuff to have...

When I was still in the Philippines, I wanted to collect posh scented candles but I do find them too expensive for my pocket so I just got a few from friends who gave some to me...now here in the US, I found out that "mine" ( my hubby) , got tons of candles in all shape and colors, big and small, scented and not scented...

Naturally, I have to pick the best and the ones that I really, really like and I get to keep them and use them in whatever way I want...

Well, scented candles can be used to freshen the air and the smell in our houses, so I did that...I light those sweet-smelling ones like the vanilla-cinnamon candles and the orange-strawberry ones and just leave them lighted for a few minutes and after that, the smell is so refreshing and relaxing...

Another way I used them are for their looks...I display the pretty and beautiful ones in places where they can be seen and serve their beautification purpose...some I out around the sides of our Jacuzzi bath tub for display also...

Best Dressed...For Me...

Every now and then during the week, I always make sure I check Yahoo OMG! 2 Hot 2 Handle and of course, all the latest Hollywood celebrity photos and rumors...

Here I also check out the latest fads and fashion that are being sported by famous celebrities and fashionistas in Hollywood...for this post, i picked out my top 4 favorite dresses worn by Hollywood celebs...I'm not really a big fan of these 4 celebs but I loved what they are wearing and how they wear it...with confidence and grace...

First two are Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham and Jennifer Garner...I loved their dress and their shoes too...

Then it's Lucy Liu and Nelly Furtado...I love the color and the material of Lucy's dress and her shoes definitely matched her dress and her accessories too...as for Nelly Furtado's attire, I love the color black and the cut and style and the way it fits and defines her body...plus her earrings and her hair do also compliments the over-all style...

That's why I consider them my best dressed...for now...

SassyChick's Mix N' Match is still undergoing some major changes after a long time of not being able to post anything...

It's been a while since I last posted something here though I still check and open this blog of mine every day...I thought I have found the perfect theme and lay out for this already, but I was wrong...
