Want Some Of These?...

(Rambutan...)

Back in the Philippines, we have so many different kinds of fruit trees around our house...and among them are rambutan trees...I remember during these months (November-January), these trees would be laden with fruit and people from neighboring places would come to our place to buy some of the fruits...even my mother's friends from the next,next town who work in a local Land Bank branch would order some from my mother and she would have to deliver it to the bank herself...sometimes, the bank manager (who's a close friend of my mother) would drive down to our place just to buy these fruits...

When I talked to my family a couple of days ago, they were telling me that we have so many fruits again...that made me miss home so much more...I remember when I was still there, I would eat these fruits for breakfast and I don't even have to climb the tree to get the fruits because they are just low and reachable...

(Sigh....) wonder when can I eat them rambutan again?...
